Site Access and Layout
A new single story building will be constructed to accommodate a 2,125 sq. m Lidl food store. The proposed development will benefit from 123 car parking bays including 6 disabled and 8 parent and child spaces with an electric charging point servicing 2 spaces. The Lidl building will be sited along the northern-eastern / south-western boundaries of the site with the car parking bays positioned to the south-west of the building near to the site entrance.
Careful thought has been given to the store access for all modes of transport. The store is located close to the existing bus stop on Blundell’s Road.
The main entrance to the store is to the south-west corner of the building with a glazed facade fronting on to Blundell’s Road creating an active frontage.
The services access is on the north-eastern side of the building.
